The Lega Basket Serie A organizes the top tier basketball championship in Italy, named Serie A, which consists of 16 Clubs playing with a round robin system of 30 games. At the end of the Regular Season the best eight teams qualify for the playoff, starting in May. Lega Basket Serie A also organizes Events such as the All Star Game (annually held in January and played by the best foreign players of the championship), the Final Eight of Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup Lega Basket Serie A is also member of Uleb (Union des Ligues Européennes de Basketball).
