LATA 65 (or in english 'can 65') is an initiative for the elderly within the urban art, developed by WOOL- Covilhã Urban Art Festival.
LATA 65 is assumed as a plan to :
- to approach the less young to a way of expression usually associated with the younger
- prove that concepts such as active aging and solidarity between generations make more sense every day
- demonstrate that urban art has the power to promote and enhance the democratization of access to contemporary art, by simplicity and naturalness that reaches the most varied ages ;
- shows that age is (only ) a number.
It is presented as a workshop taught in workplaces totally relaxed, ideal for learning the various intervention techniques in the streets, in direct work with some of the best urban artists of today.
After the first workshop and other actions with the original group, we confirmed that :
- it is possible and desirable to awaken, motivate and enthuse older by urban art
- it is desirable to present these generations, new activities, new techniques, said the younger, as a way to escape and break from routines, generating quality, youthfulness and well -being in their lives
