The Kushwaha Medical shopwas established in 1968 by Mr. XYZ OSJD. XYZ mission was to bring to his community a pharmacy that was both dedicated to personalized service and managed by the pharmacist.Kushwaha pharmacist-run business model allowed him the freedom he needed to grow his business and simultaneously focus on the needs of his customers. It quickly proved successful.In 1970 Kushwaha established Medicine Shoppe International Inc. (KSMS) allowing him to extend franchise-ownership opportunities to other customer-friendly entrepreneurial pharmacists and independent investors. In 1971 the first franchised Medicine Shoppe pharmacy opened.Over the years KSMS continued to grow adding health screenings medication therapy management Specialized Care Centers and other unique services. In 1991 the company expanded internationally with its first master franchise in Taiwan.In 1995 Cardinal Health acquired KSMS. In 2003 KSMS acquired Medicap Pharmacies Incorporated further expanding the brands reach.Today MSI continues to grow and focus on the needs of the customer by offering a full line of over-the-counter products important health screenings and the personal care and attention of a knowledgeable pharmacist who always takes the time to get to know his or her customers.
