Krause Manufacturing Inc. (KMI) is part of a group of privately held companies that include: CP Manufacturing, MSS, IPS Balers, Material Sales, IMS Recycling and IMS Electronics divisions and is located in Bellingham, WA. Krause Manufacturing and CP Manufacturing alone have a combined total of over 80 years of machinery and recycling equipment experience; couple this with the many long term employees of just these two companies, and we have many hundreds of thousands of hours experience in this industry. Established in 1963, Krause has been devoted to the recycling industry since 1985. KMI is located on several acres wholly owned by the Krause family, upon which are located the engineering and manufacturing facilities. The engineering department uses the latest in CAD development software, including SolidWorks 3D. The shop has, among other equipment: a plasma cutter, a 600 ton, 20 foot capacity, numerically controlled press brake; a 36" swing, 10' between centers lathe; a 318" x 10' capacity shear. All welding is 'metal inert gas,' eliminating slag pockets, and therefore having a uniform strength and appearance. KMI has been in business for 43 years starting as a manufacturer of farm equipment. In the early eighties KMI made a switch to manufacturing recycling equipment, mainly conveyors. KMI's product lines now include turnkey conveyor systems, disc and trommel screens including the Rocket™ Wet Separator, and catwalks while specializing in very heavy-duty conveyors such as Steel Double Beaded, Hinge Pan, and Chain Belt varieties.
Also included in the product line is the KMI Sea-Lift. Krause has engineered the diesel powered hydraulic trailers tailored to the global marine repair and storage industry which will travel quickly to a boat's location and will gently lift and transport vessels using a typical boat ramp. The Sea-Lift is faster, safer, and accomplishes more efficient storage than any other system in the world.
