The name of Kopi Kalkir is inspired by a transparent paper named kalkir, which is often used to map out a design or image as the final stage of the design work. In the field of geography, kalkir paper is used to make contour maps, which are maps that show the high and low levels of an area. This reminds us of coffee plants that have the characteristic of growing in areas with certain altitude levels to obtain promising quality coffee beans.
