The Visitor Centre was commissioned by Leicester City Council and opened in July 2014 and is run by an independent charitable trust made up of experts in business, finance, and heritage and visitor attractions.
The Centre is is a not-for-profit organisation and any surplus generated is re-invested to further the education and learning in the history and story of King Richard III.
