The story about Kähler began in 1839, when Herman J. Kähler opened a ceramics factory and the groundwork was laid for one of the greatest successes in Danish ceramics history. Kähler is sensuous shapes, which unites function and aesthetics, tradition and innovation. With its contemporary designs with a distinctive and artistic profile, Kähler has always been at the cutting edge of Danish ceramic art.
A hundred years ago as well as today the artistic expression has been shaped by the greatest, international profiles in ceramics and design – in these years for example Helena Rohner and Louise Campbell. We continuously build on the traditions of ceramics and interpret them in a contemporary perspective.
In recent years Kähler has won several international design awards and Kähler is today exhibited at museums and sold at design shops all over the world.
