Founded in 1991 by Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Khazar University became one of the first private universities in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia and the first in Azerbaijan to introduce Western-style, research-oriented higher education. The university applies a student-centered educational model where the main language of instruction is English.

With more than 3,000 students and 400 academic staff members, Khazar University strives for the excellence in education.
