Keychange is a global movement that counts the discounted, bringing women and gender minorities in the music industry to the main stage.
Launched in 2017 with support from Creative Europe and a growing collective of like-minded partners and sponsors, Keychange is accelerating change around the world.
We do this through a holistic talent development programme which takes action to empower talented women and gender minority artists and innovative music industry professionals. Keychange helps all participants progress to the main stages and leading positions in the industry. In 2024, 272 artists and innovators will have completed the programme.
And the global Keychange Movement is diversifying and reshaping the music industry to create a stronger, more inclusive and sustainable community for all genders. Integral to this is a global Keychange Gender Equality Pledge, which to date has over 550 music organisations and companies committing to achieving at least 50% representation of women and gender minorities in an area of their work. And our Manifesto and advocacy work influences policy.
From its beginnings as a career development program, Keychange has transformed into an award-winning global movement for a profound transformation of the music industry.
Ambassadors include Shirley Manson, Alice Phoebe Lou, Carla Marie Williams, Peaches, Aurora, Eliza Reid, Corinne Bailey Rae, Nadine Shah, Tony Visconti, Tones and I, Emily Eavis, Joy Denalane, Kate Nash, and Tegan and Sara.
Join us to take action for change and be a part of our movement!
