Kestrel Design Group, Inc., is a sustainable landscape architectural firm specializing in green roofs, living walls, stormwater, urban trees, shoreline restoration and natural landscapes. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the firm was founded in 1990 and is made up of a team of 5 landscape architects with a combined experience of over 75 years. Kestrel is proud to be a major contributor to North American sustainable landscape design firms, with a portfolio of hundreds of projects for municipalities, park districts, watershed districts, schools, corporations, wholesaler/retailers, energy utilities and manufacturers. The firm has also worked successfully with all levels of government – local, regional, provincial and national. Our Name The Kestrel Design Group is proud to take our name from the American Kestrel, a falcon whose collaborative approach, efficiency and adaptability to humans and habitats signifies our approach to design solution.
