Kern River Outfitters

Kern River Outfitters is a whitewater rafting company based in Southern California. We have a full permit operating on the Upper, Lower and Forks of the Kern River. Located just three hours from Los Angeles, we are the closest rafting for all of Southern California, including Santa Barbara, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Los Angeles. The Kern River is considered the best one day and two day rafting trip in California because of it's wide variety of trip options, unparalleled river accessibility, and historically long rafting season. With El Nino arriving, we anticipate a return to a regular rafting schedule with our season kicking off in mid-April and running throughout the summer.
