The Kentucky Department of Revenue administers tax laws for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and collected $13 billion in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019. These receipts were allocated between the General Fund ($11.4 billion) and the State Road Fund ($1.6 billion).
The Commonwealth's two largest sources of General Fund receipts are individual and corporate income taxes (49%) and sales and gross receipts taxes (39%). Various other taxes and receipts make up the balance.
