The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has been providing law enforcement services to this county since 1862, when retired Texas Ranger John W. Sansom was sworn in as the county's first Sheriff. With a total of 663 square miles and a population of 42,400 residents, Kendall County continues to be one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. Our challenge as a Sheriff's Office is to properly and responsibly plan to meet the needs of a growing community.
