Kamoto Copper Company (KCC) is a world respected mining business that responsibly produces copper and cobalt, essential resources to improve and modernize our way of life. KCC is the first copper producer in Africa, and the first cobalt producer in the world. It is located in Kolwezi in the Province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo. KCC’s portfolio of assets includes two (2) open pit operations (KOV & Mashamba East), one (1) underground mine (KTO), Kamoto concentrator, and Luilu refinery with a capacity of 300,000 t of copper plates per year and 40,000 of cobalt hydroxide.
