The Kala Ghoda Association was formed on 30th October 1998 with the aim of maintaining and preserving the heritage of the Kala Ghoda area - South Mumbai’s beloved art district.
In 1999, the Association started the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival – the first-of-its-kind multi-disciplinary street art festival that the city of Mumbai had ever seen. The event has now grown into a nine-day arts festival that is marked on the calendars of art lovers not just from the city but from all over the country, and, indeed, the world.
It is the biggest street festival – FREE of charges for all attendees.
