KIBAR is a tech startup ecosystem builder in Indonesia. We distribute opportunities in the digital era by partnering with industry stakeholders, running programs to nurture startups, and establishing hubs for creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs to collaborate.
In 2014, we co-initiated Innovative Academy, a university-level incubator with Universitas Gadjah Mada, the largest and oldest state-owned university in Indonesia. In Surabaya, we collaborate with the city government to run Start Surabaya, the first city-level incubator in Indonesia.
To scale the impact, in 2016, with the support of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, we initiated Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital. The mission is to create 1,000 high-quality startups by 2020 from across the country. As part of the government's vision to build Indonesia as 'The Digital Energy of Asia’, the movement aims to nurture digital startups that are able to provide solutions to huge problems through mentoring and capacity building.
