Raw. Beautiful. Life.
From the icy tundras of Greenland, to the jagged peaks of El Potrero Chico, to the crystal clear azure waters of Borneo, my photography and filmmaking has taken me to all corners of the globe, capturing people, places, and products in some of the most beautiful and challenging locations on the planet. This work is my life, and my life is this work.
Adventure and exploration are my passions. Growing up along the wild and beautiful coast of northern California, my family instilled in me strong values of conservation and respect for the natural world. Protecting the delicate balance of the environment and its native inhabitants is a priority on every shoot, while capturing breathtaking images and films.
Diving since I was eight, I was certified at 12. On the water, in the water, beneath the water — free diving, scuba diving, surfing, ice diving, kayaking — water has been central to my life and my work.
Through visual storytelling, I create rich, eye-catching content for national and international advertising agencies, editorial outlets, and conservation organizations. These include Outside Magazine, Body Glove, The Nature Conservancy, SUUNTO, PADI, Stanford University, Islands Magazine, The Ritz-Carlton, Sport Diver Magazine, as well as being a contributing photographer to Getty Images.
My experience, education and point-of-view inform my image making. I want to stir the viewer’s own sense of joy and wonderment in nature, moving them into the story's message, inspiring them to make our world a better place — a lofty ideal, a very real one to me.
I strive to put raw, beautiful life into every shot.
