Justice for Children and Youth (JFCY) is a charity
and a legal aid clinic that helps young people
who have serious legal and personal issues and
no ability to pay a lawyer. Some are homeless or
they need to leave home due to abuse. Others
have mental and/or physical health problems,
or are not getting educated, or are alone and
facing criminal charges. But in most cases, our
clients have many complex problems all at once;
they’ve slipped through the cracks and have
nowhere to turn but to JFCY. For more than 40
years, we’ve been operating in Ontario, and we
are Canada’s preeminent experts in children’s
law, providing direct representation, law reform
advocacy, public education and more.
