Jewell Hudgens Machine

Jewell Hudgens, Inc. was formed in 1947 as a machine shop providing repair services to area sawmills. The company continued in this capacity while entering the roller business during the 1960s. The first rubber covered rollers serviced by the company were taken to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant in Beaumont, Texas to have rubber calendared onto the rollers. As the roller business expanded, additional equipment was purchased and we began to cover rollers with rubber ourselves. During the late 1970s, Polyurethane coverings were added to our list of products.In the 1990s, the company expanded its capacity in the roller covering business by adding onto its building and purchasing additional equipment. Today, the plant includes two buildings totaling 42,000 square feet.Our mission today is to identify the needs of our customers and to supply the products, services, and solutions that fill those needs. Our philosophy involves creating long term relationships with our customers.
