Japan Play Transylvania(JPT), will take place in the second biggest city of Romania, Cluj-Napoca, on 28 and 29 of April 2012. The festival has as theme, modern Japanese culture, including Anime - Manga - Gaming, Japanese music (J-Pop/J-Rock), and Japanese traditional culture (Culture, Art, Martial Arts, etc.). For this reason the festival will be held in two locations: Student Culture House (the main location of the festival), dedicated to young people, and the second location is the Tailors Tower, where will be presenting exhibitions of Japanese art and history, and karate demonstrations and kendo, and many other traditions like tea ceremony, ikebana, sushi craftsmanship and origami.
JPT, is the first festival dedicated to modern and traditional Japanese culture that will be held in Transylvania, and has target the young people. JPT is an ambitious project that aims to familiarize the youth and students of Cluj-Napoca, as well from Romania and neighboring countries, with what is and is Japanese pop culture (modern) and the traditional.
