Janro Imaging Laboratory develops 3D stereoscopic imaging software and input devices that provide a means for artists, designers and animators to intuitively and immediately illustrate visual concepts and create 3D artwork in space.
Since 2007, Janro Imaging Laboratory has been the home of SANDDE software. SANDDE is an immersive, stereo-3D animation tool that allows animators to create 3D content with all the freedom, flexibility, and graphic delights of traditional hand-drawn animation. Users draw with a Wand (a motion-tracking device), and the drawing takes form as a real-time trace of their movements.
No other system in existence enables animators to compose animation in stereoscopic 3D space as intuitively and quickly as SANDDE does. With SANDDE, the animator works in the stereoscopic environment itself, and can therefore make changes to the spatial composition of their work in, 3D, and in real time.
