Ipswich Jets

The Ipswich Jets Rugby League Club is a proud, one town rugby league Club based in the city of Ipswich. The Club participates in the Hostplus Cup which is recognised as the second best competition in Australia beneath the National Rugby League (NRL). The Ipswich Jets have three teams who participate in the QRL. Our under 18's who participate in the Mal Meninga Cup. Our under 20's who play in the Hastings Deering Colts Cup and we also play in the Intrust Super Cup Competition. The Club and the City have a proud and rich Rugby League history going back to 1910. The Ipswich Jets are one of the perennial heavyweights of the Intrust Super Cup and have been finalists for the past 5 seasons. In 2015 we had the good fortune of winning the BRL Competition and its Chairman’s Trophy, the Intrust Super Cup and the NRL State Championship playing our unique style of football. In recent years, our Club has been coached by some of the greats of Rugby League including Tommy Raudonikis, Trevor Gillmeister, Kevin Walters, Darren Smith and Glenn Lazarus. Ben Walker and Shane Walker the former Bronco stars are the current co-coaches. The Club is professional in all it does. The Ipswich Jets is more than a Football Club. We proudly are innovators, who push the boundary. We host a number of unique community based events at our home games to promote great and worthy organisations. We host a Defence Force appreciation day, an Indigenous appreciation day, Harmony day (supporting PNG and Islander communities) and a Ladies day supporting the Ipswich Domestic Violence Action Centre. We also have an Old Boys day which brings together Jets players, coaches and staff from the old days to those playing for us today. The Ipswich Jets are more than just a club that plays some games of Rugby League. The Ipswich Jets do not set out to win trophies, but instead we set out to win the hearts of those within the Club and the Ipswich Community.
