The International Federation for Peace and Sustainable Development (IFPSD), launched in October 2001, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable peace for people of all races, cultures and religious creeds. IFPSD is in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC), and is associated with the United Nations Department of Public information (UN-DPI), the UN Department of Political Affairs (UNDPA), and accredited with the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
IFPSD strives for the protection of all human rights for all people; to help empower people to realize their inalienable rights and to assist those responsible for upholding such rights in ensuring that they are implemented. IFPSD proves a peaceful platform for dialogue, partnership, education, and service among people of various faiths and cultures.
IFPSD was the first to hold an interfaith dialogue at the United Nations witnessing a delegation of 30 Imams and Rabbis from 13 European countries. IFPSD drafted and submitted a joint statement to the Secretary-General of the United Nations advocating for the implementation of international legal standards condemning religious intolerance, which was signed by approximately 60 religious leaders and theorists from around the world.
Our Work
IFPSD reinforces the United Nation’s commitment to international peace, security and justice through education, public relations and community outreach initiatives across five key areas:
1. Women’s Empowerment
2. Human Rights
3. Interfaith Dialogue
4. Protection of Cultural Heritage
5. Family Health
IFPSD is active across 5 continents through its liaison offices, which help raise awareness on these issues and support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
