The International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) was founded in 1961 to ensure quality orthodontic care by general and pediatric dentists. In order to reach this goal, the IAO offers a wide array of orthodontic continuing education courses through the IAO Annual Meeting, its' IAO certified instructors, IAO Recognized Study Clubs, and IAO affiliated Sections.
Today the IAO has approximately 2,000 member dentists in over 60 countries and is the oldest non-specialty orthodontic association in existence. The association headquarters office is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin U.S.A.
