A non-profit organization providing music education designed to promote artistic training and social integration, the Baccarelli Institute serves over 1,000 children and young people annually through its socio-cultural programs, based on excellence in teaching, contributing to the personal development and the creation of opportunities for professionalization in the field of erudite music.
Today, with its own facilities in the Heliópolis neighborhood, the institution is building a history of achievements day by day, the fruit of broad educational work that transcends professionalization in music, by promoting self-discipline, respect, creativity, camaraderie and a sense of collaboration—essential for both intersubjective relations and to consolidate notions of citizenship.
The Institute is currently under the artistic direction of maestro Isaac Karabtchevsky and the patronage of the Indian conductor Zubin Mehta, who visited the institution in 2005 and was enchanted by the power of music as a tool for social transformation.
