The Institute of Public Health (IPH) informs public policy across the island of Ireland to support a healthier population.
Established in 1998, IPH has been shaping public health policy in Ireland and Northern Ireland for 25 years.
We do this by;
- research and evidence review;
- policy analysis and evaluation;
- partnership working;
- specialist training and public communications.
We focus on promoting health and wellbeing, improving health equity, and reducing health inequalities throughout the life course.
IPH is jointly funded by the Departments of Health in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
We work with a variety of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community organisations, and policymakers at local and national level to ensure that public health policies are equitable and based on the best available evidence.
