The Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice delivers world-leading research and insight to support radical innovation within public safety services and the criminal justice system.
The IPSCJ fuses expertise in research methodology and analytical tools with experience across policing, justice and victim services to produce new policies and practices that address the 21st century challenges facing public safety services.
Led by President Lord Gordon Wasserman and director Laura Knight, the IPSCJ supports large-scale transformation with evidence-based practice to ensure the safety of individuals and communities while creating new models that deliver effective public safety outcomes.
The IPSCJ is experienced in delivering programmes that:
- Increase the industry’s understanding of what does and doesn’t work
- Translate knowledge in to new, effective practices
- Revitalise relationships between active citizens and their local police
- Improve the working practices and environments of those delivering frontline services
