The Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP) is an international research centre in mathematics and theoretical physics founded by Émile Borel. It is located in the centre of Paris next to two other institutes founded in the 1920s, the Institut Curie and the Institut de Biologie Physico-Chimique. Opposite the Borel building, the historic IHP building, is the former physical chemistry laboratory of Jean Perrin. Completely refurbished to host an expanded IHP, the Perrin building accommodates various types of scientific activities and the Maison Poincaré, a museum dedicated to mathematics and its interactions.
