The Ingenuity Programme is a national innovation programme that directly addresses the UK’s major social, health and environmental challenges through the creation of impactful new start-ups. Ingenuity focuses on 3 key challenge themes: building stronger communities, improving health and tackling climate change. The programme is powered by the University of Nottingham, run in partnership with Nuffield Health and supported by a number of university partners and both corporate and community partner organisations.
Rooted in the concept of civic entrepreneurship, the programme provides start-up skills training, mentoring, networking, experiential learning and entrepreneurial development opportunities, plus routes to funding for early-stage impact driven businesses that have the potential to make meaningful change to people’s lives and environment. The annual competition creates an opportunity for participants to pitch, where the most impactful ideas are awarded top prizes and receive a share of £75,000 in prize funding.
