India International School in Japan (IISJ) is the first school to cater to the Indian diaspora living in Japan. A K-12, senior secondary, coed school with a CBSE-approved curriculum as well as IB certification, IISJ offers a unique setting in which students are exposed to the rigors and high expectations of an Indian education system. Outside classroom walls, students develop as responsible global citizens through experiential learning as they adroitly navigate the people, customs, and language of Japan.
Over 1,000 students are spread across our sprawling campuses in Tokyo and Yokohama. Upon graduation, many have enrolled at colleges and universities in the United States, India, Australia, England, and Japan (some with full scholarship).
IISJ is also the first Indian school granted "gakko hojin" status by the Japanese government. This allows IISJ to offer tuition subsidies as well as discounted transportation passes to many students.
