InBallast is an independent Ballast Water Management consulting/ engineering firm that delivers services related to ballast water management to ship-owners, vendors and regulators. We have done BWMS' development, type approval facilitation, technical support, compliance assessment and much more. Our knowledge will help you choose the right BWMS strategy ensuring statutory compliance and helping you control cost of operations. InBallast originates from MetaFil (later Mentum) – which have been engaged within the area of Ballast Water Treatment since 1996 and whom was the responsible founder of OceanSaver and MossHydro among others We have an unique and broad experience reference including national/ International legislation development, the development of ballast water risk assessment tools as well as early ballast water class approval frameworks. Our competences however also include that of technology development, strategic type approval process management and facilitation as well as ballast water compliance issues. We are broad-minded technologists with in-depth expertise covering technologies such as UV and Ozone in addition to that of filtration/ separation and electrochemistry. InBallast operate a small scale seawater test facility suitable for component functionality testing, efficacy/ performance optimisation and material suitability evaluations. We have comprehensive type approval and retrofit experience through BWM regulatory industry leader – DNV GL. InBallast has also gained in-depth knowledge and understanding of all commercially available treatment systems; how they work and how they should be installed on a variety of vessel types.
