We offer full-service software development and are based in Clayton, Victoria with a 100% Australian local team doing the work. We specialise in content delivery projects and differentiate with our proprietary suite of tools and our fluid processes, leading to effortless client experiences and successful project objective outcomes.
The company originated from a broader association with the Australian publishing industry.
As publishing began to transition towards providing digital content, in addition to the traditional print market, IYP software was established to assist in the provision of this “modern” method of content delivery.
We have been involved in a number of successful digital publishing solutions including “I can speak languages”, a program developed by Macmillan education. This package was designed to teach students how to speak a second language, and on release won Digital Product of the Year.
From this beginning, we built our Appbooks platform. Appbooks allowed designers to create digital content via a simple-to-use suite of creation tools and to publish that content directly to phones, tablets and computers. No coding skills were required by the user and many impressive digital products were built. We also built our own educational packages such as Animalia and The Graeme Base Educational Suite in partnership with popular author Graeme Base.
We soon saw a need for more complex apps to be built using our toolset and we introduced Tendril, as a modular app building suite, covering all areas of app creation, including an extended set of building tools, a complete user management interface, a file management system, a publishing module and the ability to use, and even create, widgets (specific code that allows users to add complex features to their digital product).
The Tendril platform became such a powerful toolset that we often use it in-house to assist with custom development projects that we have been engaged to complete.
