According to the increasing need of the country to establish and develop computer networks and their relationship to each other, and finally to connect to global networks, with the aim of establishing the necessary communication infrastructure for realizing such an issue, as well as access to information resources, the Information Technology Organization of Iran , Services, and internal and external applications under the name "Amordita" since 1370 as one of the subsections of the Ministry of Post and Telegraph and telephone.
At the same time, the change in the name of the Ministry of Post and Telegraph and telephone to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in 2003 resulted in changes in the level of affiliated companies. In this regard, data communication affairs was changed to "data communication company" in the summer of 2004, and in the summer of 2005, due to the development of its goals and missions, the company changed its name to "IT company". In 2008, in pursuance of the implementation of Article 44 of the Constitution, the company separated from the Iranian Telecommunication Company, the name "Information Technology Company of Iran" and from October 2010 in order to abstraction of government activities and policy-making from state-owned companies, IT company due to its duties The ruling issue in its letter was changed from the form of a state-owned corporation to a government institution, and its title was reformed to Iran's Information Technology Organization (ITO), and thus the first Iranian information technology authority was born in Iran.
