IGPM’s goal is to develop a methanol complex with ready access to inexpensive US natural gas supply, adequate space for four process units and all supporting facilities, able to load the largest ships capable of passing through the expanded Panama Canal and with minimum permitting risks.
IGPM will build and manage the methanol complex, IGP Gulf Coast Methanol Complex (GCM), with necessary support infrastructure to allow a partner company to construct the first and possibly the second of four methanol plants, enabling such a plant to be operational by 2019. This project will be followed by the sale of up to four plant locations on the same site with IGPM managing the common operating parts — gas supply, water, infrastructure, storage and ship loading.
