Ieee Aub Student Branch

IEEE, an association dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity, is the world’s largest technical professional society. It is designed to serve professionals involved in all aspects of the electrical, electronic and computing fields and related areas of science and technology that underlie modern civilization. The IEEE AUB Student Branch was founded in 1997, being the first to be opened in Lebanon. Ever since we maintained our position as the biggest branch in the Middle East. We started off as a small community but grew to become what it is today: a huge network of Members and Alumni united towards mentorship, guidance and friendship. Our mission is to unite all young professionals and teach them how to fall in love with Engineering by showing them the huge opportunities pre and post-graduation, in a fun, friendly, educational and motivational environment. We also strive to endow students with useful knowledge through workshops, conferences, competitions and talks. Last but not least, it is our most fundamental goal to showcase our Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of AUB to the world. IEEE AUB Student Branch has just recently won the "Exemplary Student Branch Award in Region 8" during the Region 8 Student and Young Professional Conference Gala in Porto in Summer 2018.
