Founded in 2022, Icone Capital is a fund focused on unlocking Africa's potential by tackling the challenges of energy access and affordability, jobs creation and youth skills, sustainable development and equality of opportunities for all gender. Icone Capital has been founded by Sidy Niang an entrepreneur and former investment executive in Private Equity in Africa with 15 transactions executed and managed during his 10 years’ experience. Alongside local and international investors and partners, Icone Capital acquires family owned businesses or private equity funds investees who wish to perpetuate their companies and see it grow to the next stage. Icone Capital targets in priority the sectors of industry, services, or energy while being opportunistic on education and health, infrastructure and real estate. By leveraging the expertise and experience of its founder and investors, Icone Capital aims to achieve ambitious growth plans by perpetuating acquired companies through a culture of excellence and accountability, adequate capital allocation and development of new products and markets.
