The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was founded in 1989 with the mission to help the School of ECE realize top-quality research. This has entailed the development of a stable ecosystem that can support state-of-the-art research to pursue funding through European or national competitive calls and the industry. Over time ICCS/NTUA has grown to a top tier research institute in Europe employing in excess of 500 highly skilled young engineers and scientists having established and maintaining close collaboration with top-ranked universities, research organizations and industry in Europe and worldwide.
