ICAP, Innovation Commercialization Assistance Program, helps Virginia's entrepreneurs maximize the potential of their technology startups.
State-funded and backed by Virginia’s SBDC network and George Mason University, we help business creators learn the skills, build networks and hit key milestones needed for success in incubators/accelerators at the university, regional and state levels, and in winning eventual Angel and seed funding.
ICAP provides Lean Startup-based instructional programs, as conducted by the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps program, that prepare technology startups for acceleration and eventual funding.
We combine our training with a multi-year ongoing counseling program that helps ensure companies make the right early moves in developing their business models and initial Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. We deliver our service in conjunction with a network of partners at the university, local and regional levels as a free service, to broaden their offerings and deepen local expertise, in hopes of creating more investment-ready technology startups through regional ecosystems. ICAP helps our partners develop the next generation of entrepreneurs and businesses.
