In many parts of the world organisations are starting to get their minds around how to mix remote and on-site working. The first outcome of all this thinking is a profound realisation that implementing hybrid models goes far beyond randomly setting new policies or redesigning office space. We are dealing with al level of complexity and – often conflicting – demands that can feel paralysing or empowering.
The optimist see opportunities to: widen connections using tech, access and retain young talent, increase productivity, enjoy freedom & flexible lifestyles, promote engagement & wellbeing, lower operating cost, fight climate change.
The pessimist fears the: isolation provoked by technology, clash between generations, loss of productivity , lack of control & oversight, disengagement and disease, financial implications of change, It's too late for the climate anyway.
The truth lies somewhere in the middle between blind optimism and crippling fear.
Organisations and their employees are now faced with a choice: do we create a future we would like to see or tolerate a future shaped by others?
Why HybridReset: a call for "collective brainpower"!
As realistic optimist we believe that embracing, rather than rejecting complexity and paradox results in greater creativity, flexibility and productivity. Actively figuring things out as we go along and learning together is the only way forward in a dynamic environment.
That's how the idea for The Hybrid Reset was born: a call for “collective brainpower”. A push for leading and learning together, as following others is too slow for success in a dynamic world.
We promise to be practical!
We are taking a hands-on approach: with the end lock-downs in sight, we need actionable knowledge, frameworks, structures and guidance: practical things that everyone can do to kick-start their Hybrid Reset.
