Human Development Scotland is a registered charity working to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of individuals, families and communities in Scotland, regardless of context or means, and to increase the effectiveness of organisations. We do this through professional training, organisational consultancy and therapeutic services which draw on psychodynamic, psychoanalytic and systemic ideas that offer a profound understanding of how people relate to one another.
What we do:
Training & education for professionals:
- Postgraduate training in counselling and psychotherapy at certificate, diploma, masters and doctoral-level relevant to working with adults, children and young people
- Short courses for individuals and organisations, ranging from one-day workshops to 10-week courses to foster understanding of personal and professional relationships and their impact on people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing
- CPD conferences and events for people working across the NHS, social care, and 3rd sector .
Services for individuals and organisations:
- Therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy for adults, children & families
- Organisational consultancy
- Clinical supervision for the NHS, local authorities and 3rd sector organisations.
