The House of Finance (HoF) combines three departments of Goethe University Frankfurt (Finance, Money and Macroeconomics, Corporate and Finance Law) as well as several academic research and training areas focusing on finance. The aim of bringing finance and financial law together is to develop research synergies through interdisciplinary work and further the international academic network and exchange of knowledge combined with practical experience.
With the concentration of key research units and educational programs in finance, monetary economics, corporate, and financial law under one roof the House of Finance overcomes the fragmentation that has traditionally characterized academic work. About 170 researchers with interests in various aspects of finance now work next door to each other. The enhanced interaction and interdisciplinarity offer new opportunities for academic networking and collaboration on an international scale.
The institutions it houses all share the common goal of establishing the House of Finance as a leading European center for research and education related to finance and as an important international hub for knowledge exchange in this area.
The House of Finance opened in spring 2008 on the Westend Campus of Goethe University Frankfurt.
