Compelled to serve families in our community, Hope Lutheran Christian School began in 1995 as an outreach of Hope Lutheran Church.
Starting with just eight Kindergarten students and a mandate to provide quality Christian education with high academic standards, the school quickly grew adding Grades 1-4 the following year. Since then, HLCS has enjoyed three expansion projects as we’ve continued our focus on meeting the needs of our students and families while the community continues to embrace our school.
HLCS now enrolls almost 300 students in our K-8 program across our two Port Coquitlam campuses. Our doors are open to all members of the community who seek quality Christian values-based education, including those not currently affiliated with the Christian faith.
