Holy Angels . . . A place of loving, living and learning for the differently able.
These words speak volumes about life at Holy Angels for the residents and participants, their families and our staff.
Founded in 1955 by the Sisters of Mercy of North Carolina, Holy Angels is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Our mission is to provide compassionate, dependable care and opportunities for high quality living for those with intellectual developmental disabilities and delicate medical conditions.
Our programs and services were recently nationally certified for the third time since 2009 by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. We serve approximately 85 individuals who live in 8 residential homes. They participate in various therapeutic services, such as physical therapy, speech/language therapy, creative arts (music, art, dance) and horticulture therapy. Some are enrolled in our on-site school, licensed by the NC Dept. of Public Instruction. Our LifeChoices program in Cramerton, NC, is a day program for adults living in the community - offering vocational and activities of daily living training.
Holy Angels provides for the complex medical needs of all residents, including 24-hour nursing care and medication administration. Our direct support professionals make a difference each day. They provide our residents with the loving care they need to reach their full potential.
Holy Angels operates four additional businesses.
Cherubs Café features gourmet and specialty coffees, ice creams, fresh-baked desserts, and soups, salads and sandwiches. Cotton Candy Factory offers a variety of unique gifts and sweets for family and friends. Bliss Gallery exhibits art from our residents and guest artists. Spruced Goose Station in McAdenville is a café and gift shop. All businesses employ residents of Holy Angels Community Group Homes and participants of LifeChoices. We guarantee service with a smile.
