Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation (HGNC) and Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation (HWDDC) are neighborhood-based partners with Downtown Cleveland Alliance, and frequently collaborate as Downtown Cleveland’s community development arm.
Focused on neighborhood placemaking, identity and grassroots relationships, HGNC and HWDDC’s activities, events and programs reflect a unique culture rooted in historic preservation and strategic revitalization.

-Warehouse District CDC formed in 1980 (HWDDC)
-Gateway District (East 4th CDC) in 1988 (HGNC)
• Together both form a certified National Main Street program, Historic Downtown Cleveland
• Unique focus areas include historic preservation, grassroots networking among downtown stakeholders, relationship building, events, planning and placemaking

- Largest public tour program of its variety in the region, possibly nation – scope planned to increase
