Our Philosophy at Heritage Oak is to develop the whole child. This is accomplished by providing a positive, safe, drug-free, nurturing climate that enhances learning by establishing and maintaining a high level of academic and behavioral standards. Heritage Oak provides a single location for parents to provide the essential academic, social and physical skills to be prepared for high school and college. Heritage Oak students are provided with a warm, nurturing environment which promotes student responsibility, cooperation, high-level thinking, creativity and the respect for individual differences. The Carden Curriculum is utilized in the preschool and lower elementary grades because it concerns itself with the whole child, encouraging positive individual characteristics as well as a strong interrelationship among the subject areas. Heritage Oak students not only have high academic standards, but high behavioral standards as well. Students respect each other, their parents and the community, are ready to learn, put forth their best efforts and participation and learn to handle their problems and take responsibility for their own actions.
