Established in 1992, Heliwest Group is Australia's leading on-shore helicopter company, with bases throughout Australia.
Heliwest’s growth and success has been achieved as a result of the company’s ability to deliver a safe and effective service that is responsive to changing customer demands.
The company has established a solid reputation for providing contracted and ad-hoc helicopter services across diverse sectors including the mining and petroleum Industries, utility suppliers, health, government and community services. The resultant range of capabilities is unrivaled in Australia with specialisations that include;
Emergency and Rescue Services, aerial sling work, aerial intelligence and surveillance, offshore, MPT, IFR, NVG, construction, electronic information gathering, mapping with data transmission, and specialist aerial patrol, inspection and reporting.
Heliwest also provides frequent ad-hoc helicopter rescue and surveillance services to DFES, AMSA, WA Police, and the mining community throughout WA.
Heliwest also operates a Helicopter Flight School in Jandakot.
In 2012 Heliwest was appointed as an Authorised Bell Customer Service Facility (CSF). This internationally recognised accreditation is a first for a Western Australian business and one of only three in Australia. The Bell CSF allows Heliwest to offer engineering, logistics and technical support both in-house and to the region’s Bell helicopter fleet.
The current operating fleet consists of 25 aircraft, made up of 20 turbines and 5 piston engine aircraft:
