Von einer simplen Idee bis hin zu etwas ganz Großem: Wilhelm Vorndamme erfand 1907 die erste „Vorndammesche Hitzeschutz-Garnitur“. Das Eintauchen der Kleidung in eine kühle Nässe vor Feuerwehreinsätzen sorgte dafür, dass Nase und Ohren heil blieben und brachten Vorndamme zu einer neuen Erfindung, dessen Produktion noch im gleichen Jahr begann. Aller Anfang ist schwer, doch die Produktion nahm mit den Jahren erfolgreich seinen Lauf, wurde verändert und verbessert: Heute ist Isotemp ein etablierter Hersteller von individueller Schutzkleidung im Bereich Flammen-, Chemikalien- und Hitzeschutz.
