Established in 1919, Hart House is a hub for experiential learning at the University of Toronto. It has long been a cultural fabric of the University where students and community come together to share ideas, create culture and find fellowship and a sense of belonging. Today, it serves as a dynamic and inclusive space where students from all three U of T campuses and the community connect through arts, dialogue and wellness. Offering a wide range of programs and services, Hart House offers something for everyone.
Hart House provides numerous opportunities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to engage and connect. Our 10 standing committees enable students to develop and practice leadership skills while working together on common causes. Students can pursue their passions and gain valuable skills and experiences that benefit their studies, careers and personal lives. Here is the list of the 10 Hart House standing committees:

The House also provides rental spaces for weddings, meetings and special events. In the building, there is also the Justina M.
