The official home of Whaler Nation, The Hampton Roads Whalers is the premier skills development program in USA hockey. Whaler Nation Pride is second to none. Our full-cycle programs produce players who realize extraordinary athletic and scholastic achievements through their commitment to discipline, competition, sportsmanship and excellence. Earning a reputation for its integrated, holistic approach to building players’ skill sets, mental endurance and self-esteem, our comprehensive program serves as model for other youth hockey programs across the U.S. Our objective – to give players a competitive edge to achieve their goals – is simple. Our regimen is not. We've worked with the National Hockey League, American Hockey League, collegiate and junior hockey coaching staffs to build a training program that targets not only the training of a hockey player, but also the development of the total athlete. With a wealth of successful players that extends from the university hockey circuit to hockey’s greatest achievement, the NHL, the Whalers community continues to expand in the Chesapeake area of Virginia – a once-nontraditional hockey region that is moving toward a multigenerational hockey culture. OUR PROGRAMS Junior Whalers ⇨ This elite skills development program is for male athletes ages 20 and under, with a training and competition regimen similar to that of professional athletes.
