Halad to Health is an international development not-for-profit closing the gap in global health inequality.
Today, half of the world still lacks access to essential health services. Without access to childhood immunisations, medical services and basic education about personal hygiene, those living in already disadvantaged communities are far more likely to contract life threatening illnesses and be pushed into poverty.
Reality is, we live in an unequal world.
In countries, like the Philippines, where 1 in every 5 households lives below the poverty line, entire communities are vulnerable to completely preventable diseases without the knowledge of how to protect themselves.
But we believe everyone deserves, at least, an equal chance to live a healthy life.
So we run preventative health education missions to some of the most disadvantaged communities in rural Philippines.
